Novalja (Pag), Croatia

The island of Pag was next on our way. After making a round of what it seemed the whole island, having to buy a piece of stupid cake just to be able to desperately use a bathroom that was for customers only, and some pizza served by "everyone just leave me alone" waiter, we got to Novalja, the most popular beach in the area. Ivan joined us from Delnice so of course what could we do after swimming but eat some good steaks. And of course some more food the next morning (i still think 11 am is a little bit too early for a load of scampi.) The rest of the day was spent just relaxing in the sun and sea. After dinner as we were going out, we could not resist but stop at the amusement park and join all the 7-year olds in the go-carts. After about 10 rounds and backspasm from a little blonde kid that kept slamming into us every chance he got, we managed to make it back to Aquarius where we spent the rest of the night (and morning.) As we were coming back to the apartment a flock of sheep suddenly decided to dart out on the road. I swear, i thought antilopes were running accross, they were moving so fast....And............lets just say that i will not be eating any lamb for a while. We had to cut our stay short and make it back to Zagreb, but at least we had the wonderful aroma of well done lamb to follow us all the way to the city. All in all, it was a great vacation with so many great stories. I really got to relax and recharge before i returned to reality. At least i can think of the next destination while i sit at the office in the middle of Florida humidity. Mario, so is Brazil next? Anywhere as long as there are no sheep in sight...
