Barcelona, Spain

One of the places that I always wanted to visit was Barcelona...so when I was able to arrange a last minute trip to Spain I was so excited...Being able to spend the New Year in one of the most fascinating places on Earth, together with some great friends, I could not ask for more...Milica & Ilija came from Belgrade, Tomas & Jeca from Hamburg, Theresa from Los Angeles, and I flew in from Orlando, so we definetely came from every corner of the globe...It was awesome to see Mario after almost two years...you do not realize how fast the time goes by until you sit down with a friend and try to remember when was the last time that you saw each other...We went to the Nou Camp for the greatest football match there is between Real Madrid and Barcelona! I have been dreaming about being at that site since I was a kid, and I still can not comprehend that I was actually a part of that spectacle! We also watched Mario play against Real Madrid in the electric atmosphere of Palau Blaugrana...He was amongst the best in the game so it was so great to watch him in person...Have not had a chance to do that since he left Orlando Magic...We did get to do a lot of sightseeing besides all these sporting events :-) Barcelona truly is an incredible place where you can find something for everyone whether you are 7 or 77 years old...The architecture, art, design, and climate, qucikly made this city my favorite! Great company, food, and laughter made the days in Barcelona unforgettable! Before we knew it, the New Year entered, and as always brought some great expectations with it...and with such we embarked further on our journey towards the South of the continent :-)
