Tarifa, Spain

There was no time for rest after a crazy New Year's Eve....we boarded the plane for Malaga where we landed on the eve of the first day of 2008...Thanks to Tomas's extraordinary organizational skills :-) we found our selves looking for the Rent-A-Car in the ghostly empty airport...just when we gave up hope that we would make it anywhere from there, one last car was found somewhere in the darkness of the airport garage...Ford Focus for 6 of us including the luggages, combined with having no clue how to get to Tarifa made it for an interesting trip to say the least...at least a memorable one :-) However, with out-of-this-world Argentinian beef steak that we were savouring just a few hours later, Tomas was quickly forgiven :-) Stormy wather, no hot watter, Peking Duck, and some more rain were just some of the highlights of this road trip...nonethless, everything happens for a reason, and being forced to spend time inside gave us a chance to just relax, hang out, and enjoy some awesome olives, Spanish wine, and laughter every minute of the day...On the way back to Marbella we stopped and took some pictures at the edge of Spain, staring at the continent of Africa ahead of us...it was breath taking knowing that we were so close to that misterious continent...or maybe it was just that bone chilling wind ushering us away from this jewel of Andalusia :-)
