Oslo, Norway

We arrived in Oslo on a lonely Sunday afternoon....streets were ghostly empty and temperature was dipping bellow zero quickly...it truly looked like an eerie place...I guess Norwegian people just do not like to venture out of their homes on Sundays in January :-) Maybe it was coming from Istanbul and millions of people running around or just the coldness of Scandinavia, yet the first impressions of Oslo seemed so dreary and cheerless...we stayed for another day just to organize everything and explore the city little bit more...by this time I was really looking forward to getting out into the country side and hitting the slopes of Lillehammer...not even the Indian restaurants that Milica and Ilija like so much could have helped Oslo be any warmer :-)
