Lillehammer, Norway

The smallest place to ever host the Olympic Games, Lillehammer captures you with its natural beauty from the moment you enter its valley...hills covered with sparkling white snow, fresh air and -15 degrees welcomed us to this skiing dreamland...My eagerness to master the snowboarding skills was quickly tested already on the first day...after more falls and bruises then I could count in just a first hour, I was so close to giving up...thankfully Goran, Milica's cousin who is the snowboarding guru also joined us on this trip, and his ever lasting patience and assistance helped me get through that first day...after that, everything was down the hill sort to say (in a good way :-)) We spent 4 days on some of the most beautiful mountains I have seen, we fell hard and laughed even harder...serenity of Lillehammer made me feel so disconnected from the madness of every day life... Stein Ove and his family were also great hosts couple of evenings and it was so wonderful being with all of them after such a long time..they are such great friends and I just wish we could see each other more often. Time flew by and in what seemed like a second, it was time to get back to reality...It was an amazing vacation with so many great people and amazing places and the count down has already started until the next one :-)
