Venice, Italy

Rain awaited us in Venice...still a very special feeling prevailed....it is amazing making the aproach into the city on the water you so long listen about...and as the water taxi makes its way toward San Marco's place, it is fascinating observing the life as it is on the sea. People on the banks carrying with daily duties, using the boats instead of cars and mopeds. Adriatic Sea slowly pushing us into the arms of this jewel city that's awaiting us with its open arms even underneath the rain coat. Everywhere my sight reaches, I see architecture beyond words, with amazing attention to details that witnessed centuries of history. I wonder what was life like 5000 years ago here? Knowing that you are a part of so much history....so unreal. Just being able to float around something that was so close to me once upon a time and then yet so far away...Never ceases to amaze me, the world, people, and travel in between. Once again, I am humbled with knowledge of how blessed I am. With life, family, friends, places and this ever spanning globe. It is indeed like living the dream. And Venice was probably one of the most special ones. Will absolutely have to come back for another sunset (without the rain preferably :-)) ... until then this dream becomes engraved in my memory, just a little bit more vivid this time....
